The trip ends with a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel and will be able to enjoy or take rest. Day 01:

Arrive Kathmandu in Kathmandu. Cordial welcome and transfer to hotel

Accommodation: Deluxe 3-Star Hotel in Kathmandu

From the beginning of inquiry, you will have travel representative to talk. You will have warm welcome will also await at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu, Nepal where Aspiration Adventure English Speaking representative will be on hand all the time waiting with your name plate and transferred to hotel. There will be a Pre-trip meeting, so make sure to ask all the questions. Then you will meet your trek guide and had some trip briefing & discussion. We will let you know about the time of meeting upon your arrival at hotel. You can also take this opportunity to hire or buy any trekking equipment at market or explore the tourist colorful market Thamel Bazaar down Town. Overnight at 3 Star Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02:

Sightseeing of Kathmandu and trek Preparation

Accommodation: Deluxe Hotel in Kathmandu

After Breakfast at Hotel, we set out for a Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley as per our itinerary includes the tour of Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Instead of Kathmandu Durbar Sqaure you will have option to visit Patan Durbar Square. All these sites are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site list. After the tour, you will return back to the hotel. Later on, You will meet again with guide to finalize your clothing and trekking gears (down jacket, trekking boots, sleeping bags etc.) required during the trek. Day 03:

Flight to Lukla (2804m), Start trek to Phakding (2610m)

Distance: 8 Km, 3- 3.5 hours trek, 200m descent

Early in Morning, We will drive to domestic terminal at Kathmandu Airport for regular flight to Lukla (2,800m). Upon arrival at Lukla, We will meet our porters and take short refreshment break. Lunch hour depends upon the time of arrival at Lukla, either in Lukla or a bit of a further walk down en-route to Phakding. background. This first Day hike to Phakding is specifically designed for the purpose of acclimatization. Experience is simply awe-inspiring overlooking beautiful scenery along the route to Phakding located by Dudh Koshi River! Today's trek is relatively short around 3 and ½ hours walking; it is an introduction of typical trek in Everest. Lot more thrill is yet to come. Overnight at Lodge in Phakding. Day 04:

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3535m)

Distance: 7.4 km, 4 -5 hours trek, 1000m ascent, 100m descent

After Breakfast in Phakding, We begin our trail following the Dudh Koshi gradually up to to Toktok Village with the excellent view of East Thamserku traverse above the streams to Benkar. Today trekking route consists of a number of high suspension bridges and lead us to village of Monjo, entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park. The trails climbs through thick dense forests make it challenging yet fun, adventurous as you will get the first glimpses of Mount Everest. After arrival at Namche Bazaar a famous Sherpa town or the gateway to Everest. We will check-in at our accommodations and explore the town. There is a facilities of good restaurant, pubs, cyber café, post office, and banks. Overnight at Lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Day 05:

Acclimatisation Day in Namche Bazaar. Hike and Explore around

Distance: 3-4 hours Hike or More, 460m ascent/descent

Today is Exploration day hike to Everest View Hotel and around Namche Bazaar. To get an amazing views of notable peaks like Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest, we will also hike up to Everest Hotel followed by cup of tea/coffee and Also Easy Hike to Khumjung Village (Optional). After a proper acclimatization and exploration, we will head back to our lodges in Namche Bazaar. You can spend time easily exploring around the shops, try some Himalayan bakery items or go for a Coffee. Overnight stay at lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Day 06:

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche Monastery (3867m)

Distance: 9.2km, 4-5 hours trek, 750m ascent, 350m descent

Today is one of the significant days of the trek. After Breakfast, We will trek to Tengboche which takes about 5 hours from Namche Bazaar. The trail starts with first slightly climb up for a while up to the Chor camp, then continue easy level walk to kyangjuma. We follows for a while easy level walk through Rhododendron forest to sanasa. An easy trail leads to us to the Dudh Koshi Valley towards the settlement of Phunke Tenga. We climbs steeply at beginning then a gradual ascent through blue pine and Rhododendron forest at the hill top of Tengboche Monastery which hosts stunning views of Ama Dablam (6856m), Mount Everest (8848m), Taboche (6367m), Thamserku (6608m), and other snowy peaks. Monastery open from 3 pm and it is good visit at their evening chanting by lamas. Sunset and Sunrise Views as well as magnificent view of the Mount Everest including other Himalayas form Tengboche is probably the highlights of your treks. Overnight at lodge in Tengboche.

Day 07:

Trek from Tengboche to Monjo (2840m)

Distance: 16.4 km, 7-8 hours trek

Accommodation: Standard Lodges/tea houses

Include Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

In the Morning, Exploration of Tengboche Monastery and witnessing the Panorama Mountain view, We will take breakfast and move downhill through rhododendron bushes and fir trees towards the Dudh Koshi River. We cross Tashinga and take take steep up till Sanasa village and take way to Kyangjuma. We will pass through Namche Bazaar and descend down to Monjo. Downhill leads us to cross the high suspension bridge over the river and then follow the path that runs mostly level to Jorsale and then climbs to Monjo, crossing bridge over Dudh Koshi River, which exit Sagarmatha National Park. In Monjo, your trekking card will be again checked out. Overnight at lodge in Monjo.

Day 08:

Trek from Monjo to Lukla (2804)

Distance: 5-6 hours trek

Accommodation: Standard Lodges/tea houses

Include Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

The trail from Monjo to Lukla is embellish with small monasteries and painted Mani walls. You will be passing through small sherpa settlements and descend to Chauri Kharka via Phakding. The trail after the long suspension bridge follows the up wards route as far as Chablung, then turns off towards Lukla. On arrival in Lukla, trekking ends. You can stretch up your sore legs and have a rest for a while and later stroll around the village, listening to the stories of the locals and experience their lifestyle. These is final day of your trekking most trekkers make a celebration with their guide and crew members at Lukla. Overnight at Lodge in Lukla.

Day 09:

Fly Back to Kathmandu by regular flight and transfer to hotel

Distance: 45 Minutes Flight; 25 Minutes drive from Airport

Important Notes

Availability & Best Time of Year

This trip is available to start on any day a per client preference from the month Spring (March, April & May) and Autumn (September, October & November). These trip can be done throughout the year, but the best time are Spring (March, April & May) and Autumn (September, October & November). During these time you will find moderate temperatures and provide better view of mountains, less heat haze cloud and clear views of mountains. From October to December you will see more green forests in the region. Although this trip can be experience during winter and monsoon seasons too, though it is not suitable for everyone. The higher you go the colder it’s going to be. Above 4000 meters, you can expect snow and temperatures to descend rapidly below zero degrees. Be prepared for all weather conditions and have the right gear as there is always a risk of rain at lower elevations and Snow higher up during the trail.

Meals During the Trip

During our Glimpse of Everest – Tengboche Monastery Trek, you can enjoy typical Nepalese food as well as common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc) around the restaurants in Kathmandu. Whereas, On the trail all hygienic meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included in the package cost. Breakfast and Dinner are served in the teahouse or lodge where you will be staying in, Lunch is provided on the way en route. You will have full options or freedom to select your preferred items from a menu provided by the teahouse/lodge. Food while on the trek is simple but tasty. Aspiration Adventure Ensure to provide best quality hygienic all meals during the trekking while Breakfast will be available in Kathmandu. There will also be a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances hosted by Aspiration Adventures upon your return from the successful trip.

Passport and Visa

If you are travelling to Nepal for (tour, sightseeing, travel, trekking, mountaineering, visiting friends and families) then you need to have a visa to enter Nepal. Arrival Visa is available at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu’s where you can simply get the “On Arrival Visa” with the application that require at least a passport of 6 months’ validity, and a passport size photo. You will be charged USD $ 30 for 15 days and USD $ 50 for 30 days as visa application fee which have to be paid in cash on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. For those tourists who have Indian and Chinese passports then you do not need a visa (Free Visa). Most visitors will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport. The Certain country (Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria) are requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their local Diplomatic missions (Embassies/Consulates) of Nepal Government.

Trekking Grade

Glimpse of Everest Trek itinerary is pretty easier and can be done without previous experience. It is one of the easier trekking experience in Everest Region that can be done from the 8 years young to 75 years old. It is high mountain trekking so reasonable fitness level is required. It is physically quite moderate which involves approximately 5-8 hours trekking along the way. You should be in good physical fitness and have experience of multi day trekking.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is a must for safety reasons. Although this is a lower elevated trek, of course there is some risk. You might need an emergency evacuation in areas where roads and hospitals are not accessible in that case, you need to have a travel insurance. We encourage to travel insurance in your own home country.


At Aspiration Adventure, We believe that the accommodation is one of the major factor that enhances your overall travel experience. In Kathmandu you will be accommodate in deluxe properties and standard, clean, comfortable teahouses /Lodge during the trek. All the Accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. Please be informed that Single Supplement are easily available in Kathmandu but during trekking especially in higher altitude may not be feasible to get a single room. The rooms in Kathmandu are fitted with air conditioners and have en-suite bathrooms with 24-hour hot water. Other amenities include wi-fi, well-appointed suites rooms, spa, fitness center, swimming pool, restaurants, bar, café etc. At higher elevations, there are only a few tea houses with basic facilities but, we make sure of best service available and you will feel difference in accommodation. You can rent sleeping bags in Kathmandu (if needed). All the Accommodations are on twin sharing basis as well as the occasional dormitory. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request. Will trekking guide speak English?

Yes, All of our guides speak excellent English. We use local guides who have been to the relevant areas numerous times. Our guides have many year’s of working experience, knowledgeable, flexible, polite, authorized licensed holder and are very good at connecting with people.

Is there any communications service available while we are on trek?

There are telephones available in some village along the Everest trekking routes from where you can make both domestic and international calls. Our guides carry local sim cards and we will communicate to all our clients through our trekking guides to at least once in a day to make sure you’re fine, safe, and have right everything up there. If you are wiling to get local sim card, we recommend purchasing an Ncell and Nepal Telecom pre-paid SIM card in Kathmandu. There are various rates and packages available for local sim card you should enquire to lower data and phone charges. Aspiration Adventure teams are available to support where necessary. On the demand, we can provide you separate local sim card. You have the functionality of calls and data noted that, SIM card will only work where there is local cell phone reception. It is widespread, but unreliable and prone to issues.

If you are using Mobile internet purchase ample recharge cards that last during the trek. Both Mobile Internet and Wi-Fi in Everest Base Camp trek is good enough to keep in touch with near ones back home. For checking important emails and even posting picture

When is the best time of year?

The Everest trekking season runs from mid-September to May. The most popular month are post monsoon late September, October, November. December when mountain air is clear and fresh, and Late February, March, April and Early June when the weather is dry and pleasant and the rhododendrons bloom. Although this trip can be experience during December to February which is winter and monsoon seasons too, though it is not suitable for everyone.

Can I Choose my own Departure Dates for the trekking?

How do you avoid altitude sickness during trek?

  • Drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water daily to keep your body hydrated.
  • Avoid alcohol, smoking and caffeine, this are the major causes of dehydration and headache.
  • Walk slow and take time to acclimatize to the increase altitude.
  • Eat Well and Plenty
  • Take Diamox Medicine as per the Doctor Instruction, an over-the-counter pill used to prevent and reduce the symptoms of altitude sickness.

What Permits are necessary for this trek?

Every trekkers who are going to trek Everest Region requires TIMS Permit, Sagarmatha National Park entry permit fee, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit. Please be noted that, you do not have to pay extra for permit. It is organized and provided in the package by Aspiration Adventure – All of these permit are included in cost.

Did Glimpse of Everest Trek as mentioned in their website and it was the best trekking in the lifetime. We were in group of 8 person my friends and cousins and all of us were fortunate enough to complete the trip without any single issues. Trip was perfect and I still imagine What a gorgeous splash of color! Everything was well organized by Anjan and our trekking crew were perfect in their works. Having a group of 8 people we were assigned 2 guide, 1 assistant guides and 4 porters. Office team Answered our email promptly and gave us detailed information and everything was delivered as promised.
