Day 01:

Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1,400 m/ 4593 ft). Transfer to Hotel.

Day 02:

Kathmandu City Tour and Trek Preparation

Enjoy breakfast at hotel before setting off on a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. You will be taken to UNESCO World Heritage Sites which are Swayambhunath Stupa, the world's most fabulous Buddhists Stupas; located on the top of a hill which is identified as the 'Monkey Temple'. Next We will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square to witness the mastery of arts, architecture and temples. Another popular Bouddhanath Stupa which is the largest stupa in Nepal. Day 03:

Fly to Lukla (2,804 m/9,199 ft) and Trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft)

Early in Morning, We will drive to domestic terminal at Kathmandu Airport for regular flight to Lukla (2,800m). These 40 minutes flight offers you to enjoy the beauty green hills along with background of snowy mountain peaks. The trekking starts from Lukla, we head towards Phakding passing the Cheplung village and bank of Dudh Koshi river with the amazing view of a beautiful mountain like Gongla, Nupla, Karyolung. Pass through couple of suspension bridges, several mani walls and stone, chorten, stupas and prayer flags with snow capped mountains in the background. This first Day hike to Phakding is specifically designed for the purpose of acclimatization. Experience is simply awe-inspiring! Today's trek is relatively short around 3 and ½ hours walking; it is an introduction of typical trek in Everest. Lot more thrill is yet to come. Day 04:

Trek to Namche Bazar (3,840 m/12,598 ft)

Distance: 5 Hours Walking

After Breakfast at Phakding, you will continue towards north with a few uphill and downhill climb, through the forest, suspension bridges and small Sherpa settlements will bring you village like Jorsale and Monjo. Entrance Point of Sagarmatha National Park, where our guide will have a brief permit check and then descend to Dudh Kosi River at Benkar. You will walk through the flat land and crossing last suspension bridges above the river, ascend through the forest of pine all the way up till Mislung, escape out of the forest and continue to Namche following the stone steps. On the trail to Namche Bazzar you will see yaks transporting the goods and experience the breathtaking view of Thamserku Peak, the Kongdi RI Himal and first glimpse of Mt. Everest in its majesty. You will reach the main trading center of Khumbu region where quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, internet cafes and bakeries are available. Day 05:

Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazar

We are on the borderline of what is considered ‘high altitude’. Regard to today we will acclimatize and appropriate adaptation with the environment at the height. Hike around the Namche Bazar with visit to some local schools, Buddhist Monastery. We strongly suggest an easy walk up to a similar altitude of the next day’s walk. Further more, Get the panoramic view of Namche and see the Himalayas range from the highest located hotel in world, Everest View Hotel and followed hike to Khumjung Village to visit the school set up by Sir Edmund Hillary. Day 06:

Trek to Deboche (3820m/1253ft)

Distance: 5 - 6 hours walk

After Breakfast, We Start our trek to Deboche through the Pangboche enjoying view of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse and Thamserku. Day 07:

Trek to Dingboche (4,350 m/14,271 ft)

Distance: 6 Hours Walking

After Breakfast at Deboche, Today we walk through the rhododendron forest to followed by a suspension bridge over the raging Imja Khola River. We walk downhill and cross the Imja River to reach Pangboche village, the biggest settlement of Sherpas in the region. You can spot several Chortens and Mani walls and small villages as well. On these trail you will get a great opportunity to explore how the local Nepalese live. While you reach Dingboche, you will expereince the change in landscape. Treeline will be replaced with low shrub and desert feel. Dingboche is also known as the "Summer Valley" you will experience these place is sunnier than Namche and Tengboche. As you reach Dingboche, beautiful view of the Island Peak, Lhotse come into view. Overnight at best available Luxury lodge in Dingboche.(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

Day 08:

Trek to Chhukung (4,710 m/15,452 ft) & Trek Back to Dingboche

Distance: 4.5 Hours Walking

Today you will have free and acclimation day. We will hike up to Chhukung and back to Hotel in Dingboche.

Day 09:

Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m/16,108 ft)

Distance: 5 Hours Walking

After breakfast at Dingboche, you will head towards Lobuche via Dugla and Pheriche. Day 10:

Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,365 m/17,601 ft) & Back to Gorak Shep (5,180 m/16,994 ft.)

Get ready, This is Our Big Day! Finally, this is most awaiting day throughout the trip. Enjoy hot breakfast in Lobuche before we start trekking to Gorakshep. On the trail, we follow the glacial Morane and rockery next to highest glacier in the world. Moving ahead to Gorak Shep, which is about 3 hours from Lobuche and the Khumbhu Glacier come closer. After lunch in Gorakshep(5181m/16994ft), you will walk to Khumbu Glacier to the top of the edge, Everest Base Camp (5,364m). We will walk slowly to prevent the high altitude sickness problem. The route from Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp includes numerous short ups and downs. You will spend time enjoying your achievement and taking photograph, History Made! Take enough time to get with nature because you won't find Everest Base Camp anywhere else in the world. Enjoy breathtaking views of Everest, Pumori, Nuptse, Lhotse along with several other peaks. Day 11:

Hike Up to Kalapatthar (5,555 m/18,225 ft) Early in the Morning & Trek Down to Pheriche

Distance: 7 Hours Walking

Get ready for the beautiful day trekking, Today is the climax of our trip. We make our way to Kala Patthar before making a return to Pheriche. Get up early in the morning to trek towards Kalapathar for a glorious sunrise view over Mount Everest. We need to get prepared for an early morning, dark and cold temperature (-10 to -14 C) departure beforehand. Depending on the sunrise time, we will hike to Kalapatthar, It is also the vintage point for the sight of the Himalayas Peak including Mt Pumori, Mt Lhotse, Mt Nuptse and Changtse Peaks and of course Mt. Everest. Make sure to take as many pictures as possibly so they can last a lifetime memory. From here, you’ll have 360-degree views of Himalayan giants as sun rises over the Himalayas make changes in color of the mountains from silver to gold. On returning to Gorak Shep, We will take a breakfast and descend down to Pherich .Overnight at best available local lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

Day 12:

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,840 m/12,598 ft)

Distance: 7 Hours Walking

Accommodation: Yeti Mountain Home or Hotel Namche or similar class Guesthouse with attached bathroom

After Breakfast at Pheriche, you will walk back to Tengboche and slowly move down towards phungki Thanka, pass the Kyangjuma and reach Namche Bazaar by late afternoon. Namche is the main trading center of Khumbu region where quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, internet cafes and bakeries are available. Following the same way back to Namche is an easy walk and you will enjoy the Himalayas more pleasantly. Day 13:

Trek to Lukla (2,804 m/9,199 ft)

Distance: 6-7 Hours Walking

You have done it, It is our last day of trek. After Breakfast at Namche Bazaar, we began to trek back to Lukla through a trail that moves steeply downwards and crossing several suspension bridge. Trek along the way to Dudh Koshi river, you will reach Phakding. Enjoy the beauteous views of the blue-pine forest, Take some rest with Lunch. After that, we will ascend to Lukla enjoying Chortens, rhododendron and pine forest, Mani-stone walls, prayer flags and Sherpa Village. After reaching Lukla, Just take relax with yourself, enjoy a hot shower and best cusine. You can celebrate your achievement with trekking crew or enjoy with good rest and wonderful memories. Day 14:

Flight Back to Kathmandu & Free Day on your own

Distance: 30 Minutes Flight

You can enjoy the final views of these amazing snow-capped peaks. We will take early morning flight back to kathmandu from Lukla. Important Notes

Best Time for Trekking

Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek can be done any time of the year, but the best time are Spring (March, April, May) and Autumn (September, October, November). During these time you will find moderate temperatures and provide better view of mountains, less heat haze cloud and clear views of mountains. These season offers a fantastic walk with overwhelming environment, warm sunshine, pleasant weather conditions, high humidity and precipitation. From October to December you will see more green forests in the region. Although this trip can be experience during winter and monsoon seasons too, though it is not suitable for everyone. The higher you go the colder it’s going to be. Above 4000 meters, you can expect snow and temperatures to descend rapidly below zero degrees. Be prepared for all weather conditions and have the right gear as there is always a risk of rain at lower elevations and Snow higher up during the trail.

Passport and Visa

If you are travelling to Nepal for (tour, sightseeing, travel, trekking, mountaineering, visiting friends and families) then you need to have a visa to enter Nepal. Arrival Visa is available at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu’s where you can simply get the “On Arrival Visa” with the application that require at least a passport of 6 months’ validity, and a passport size photo. You will be charged USD $ 30 for 15 days and USD $ 50 for 30 days as visa application fee which have to be paid in cash on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. For those tourists who have Indian and Chinese passports then you do not need a visa (Free Visa). Most visitors will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport. The Certain country (Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria) are requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their local Diplomatic missions (Embassies/Consulates) of Nepal Government.

Accommodation During the Trip

At Aspiration Adventure, We believe that the accommodation is one of the major factor that enhances your overall travel experience. Keeping this in consideration, We offers 5 Star Hotel Accommodation Kathmandu Marriott Hotel, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu or Similar in Kathmandu for 3 Nights. During trekking, we will be staying at Yeti Mountain Home (luxury lodge) or similar as possible and other in the high altitude at best available local lodges. Accommodate in mountain are simple but it is standard, clean, comfortable lodge with great views of the mountain and sceneries. All the Accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. The rooms at mountain teahouses consist of nice and warm blankets, mattresses, pillows, bedsheets and attached bathrooms. You will have option to choose the Hotel Everest View for one nights accommodation. We will be pleased to help making reservation at any of the desire accommodation. We are flexible and happy to make booking as per your requirement.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements

Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek is a moderate trek, Strenuous hiking on mountain paths, covering 3 to 9 miles per day on rugged terrain. These trek is suitable for keen trekkers who are able to walk for 4 – 6 hours in a day, with a light rucksack. There are 12 days walking with full porterage throughout the trekking and all there is left to worry about is your water, snacks and camera. Everest Base Camp trek is suitable for anyone with moderate fitness level for relative newcomers and first times to highly experienced hikers. Past trekking/walking experience would be an asset but not required to have any technical experience only that you need be in good physical condition and able to walk for 4 – 6 hours per day. The maximum altitude is 5,545m and the average is approximately 3,900m. Our itineraries allow sufficient time for acclimatization. Two rest days have been assigned (3500 to 4000 meters and above. EBC Trekking route consists of hills and flat-lands, you will mostly walk up-hill and down-hill with some steep portion. We recommend undertaking a gym training programme and practice morning jogging and exercise with hike 6-8 weeks prior to embarking on the trek.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is compulsory for Everest Base Camp Trek. All the trekkers must provide the travel insurance policy certificate to Aspiration Adventure. This is high-altitude trek and quite challenging which means it comes with the risks of altitude sickness and and other unforeseen events. Travel Insurance policy must cover medical and emergency repatriation including helicopter rescue and evacuation expenses at high altitudes. In case of emergencies, we will be using the insurance policy and informational documents you sent us to operate the quick operation. Travel Insurance comes handy in these unexpected situations by covering all of the costs of treatments, medics, and helicopter rescue.

Transportation & Flight

In this trip, Aspiration Adventure provides all the necessary transportation on private car and regular airlines flight to Lukla. Firstly we provide free arrival and departure service, Please let us know about your international flight for this service. On Arrival Day, you will be warmly welcome by our representative by traditional flower and transfer to respective hotel. For the Lukla flight you will have the Private car for the airport to hotel pick and drop off. Our flights to and from Lukla are through regular airlines twin Otter and Dornier. Similarly, According to your interest we will also private vehicles for tour such as Sightseeing around Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, Chitwan, Pokhara or any tour in Nepal upon according to your intrest.

Drinking Water options

It is advice drinking 3 to 4 liters of water each day to stay well hydrated. You should consume if you are not thirsty. The water is available at every trekking lodge or grocery shops along the route, buying a bottle mineral water cost anywhere around 1 USD per litres. However, Aspiration Adventure recommend not buying bottled water due to environment concern and advice you to carry a reusable water bottle that can hold both hot and cold water. You can refill the water from the freely available taps or water source and use water purification tools such as water filter, purification drugs (chlorine/Iodine), SteriPEN (UV Water Purifier). During the trek, Water is necessary as it might be replaced as oxygen in such a high altitude.

On Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge trek you will be accommodate in luxurious 5 Star hotel in Kathmandu and full standard lodge during the trekking offering the best service. On the trekking trail,  you will be accommodate with in luxury lodges on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. Please be informed that Single Supplement are easily available in Kathmandu but during trekking especially in higher altitude may not be feasible to get a single room.

What are the permits and requirements for Everest Trekking?

Every trekkers who are willing to Everest Base Camp Trekking requires permits which are Sagarmatha National Park entry permit, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit, and TIMS Permit. Please be noted that, you do not have to worry and pay extra for permit. It is organized and provided in the package by Aspiration Adventure – All of these permit are included in cost and we will take care of it.

Will trekking guide speak English?

Yes, All of our guides speak excellent English. We use local guides who have been to the relevant areas numerous times. Our guides have many year’s of working experience, knowledgeable, flexible, polite, authorized licensed holder and are very good at connecting with people.

What is the Highest Point During The Trek?

The highest point that we will be visiting during the Trek is 5,555 meters at Kala Patthar. It stands at a staggering altitude of 5,643m above sea level.

Can I Buy trekking equipment in Kathmandu before the start of the trip?

The answer is YES! You may not have full equipment yourself that is appropriate for Everest treks in Nepal. So, it is possible and economical to buy or rent the trekking gear (e.g. boots, jacket, gloves. sleeping bags, Down Jacket) in Kathmandu. Do we need to carry additional medicine for trekking?

Yes, Our guide will be carrying a first aid box along with some basic medicine like ibuprofen, codeine, paracetamol, lozenges, anti-diarrhea tablets and diamox for AMS. However, It is recommended to carry some medicine by yourself.

How do you avoid altitude sickness during trek?

  • Drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water daily to keep your body hydrated.
  • Avoid alcohol, smoking and caffeine, this are the major causes of dehydration and headache.
  • Walk slow and take time to acclimatize to the increase altitude.
  • Eat Well and Plently
  • Take Diamox Medicine as per the Doctor Instruction, an over-the counter pill used to prevent and reduce the symptoms of altitude sickness.

Do I have to buy travel insurance ?

Yes, you must have travel insurance after booking any trek that rises above 4,500+ meters. Your insurance must cover medical evacuation and helicopter rescue.
