7 Days Everest Tengboche Monastery Trek itinerary is great option for those who prefer an easier trek in Everest region from Kathmandu. During the trip, you will enjoy the scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu and back. You will climb through the forested Dudh Kosi valley and pass through the beautiful Sherpa villages of Phakding, Jorsele, Monjo and to Namche. Best Time for Trek
Everest Tengboche Monastery Trek can be done throughout the year, but Spring during the month of March, April, May and Autumn Season during the month of September, October, November are regard as the best time for this trip. During these spring and autumn season you will find moderate temperatures that provide better view of mountains, less heat haze cloud and clear views of mountains. Although this trip is achievable during winter and monsoon seasons too, though it is not suitable for everyone. In winter season, the months of December, January and February surrounding along the Hills and peaks are fully covered by snow in the mountains.
Visa Requirements
If you are travelling to Nepal for (tour, sightseeing, travel, trekking, mountaineering, visiting friends and families) then you need to have a visa to enter Nepal. Arrival Visa is available at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu’s where you can simply get the “On Arrival Visa” with the application that require at least a passport of 6 months’ validity, and a passport size photo. You will be charged USD $ 30 for 15 days and USD $ 50 for 30 days as visa application fee which have to be paid in cash on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. For those tourists who have Indian and Chinese passports then you do not need a visa (Free Visa). Most visitors will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport. The Certain country (Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria) are requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their local Diplomatic missions (Embassies/Consulates) of Nepal Government.
Permits and Requirements
Every trekkers who are willing to do trekking in Everest requires permits; Sagarmatha National Park entry permit, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit, and TIMS Permit. It is organized and provided in the package. All of these permit are included in cost and our guide will take care of it.
Difficulty
Everest Tengboche Monastery Trek itinerary is pretty easier and can be done without previous experience. It is high mountain trekking so reasonable fitness level is required. It is physically quite moderate which involves approximately 5-8 hours trekking along the way. Easy moderate trek suitable for keen trekkers who are willing to get moderate trekking experience in Everest region and make their footsteps. The farthest point on the trek is 3860m so, the chances of altitude sickness are low. You will take an acclimatization hike up to Everest View Hotel and Khumjung Village. If you are physically fit and mentally strong with a determination, then this trek is not as difficult. During the trek there is Full porterage and luxury accommodation service while all there is left to worry about is your water, snacks, and camera. It is suitable for anyone.
Drinking Water
It is advice drinking 3 to 4 liters of water each day to stay well hydrated. The water is available at every trekking lodge or grocery shops along the route, buying a bottle mineral water cost anywhere around 1 USD per litres. However, Aspiration Adventure recommend not buying bottled water due to environment concern and advice you to carry a reusable water bottle that can hold hot water. You can refill the water from the freely available taps or water source and use water purification tools such as water filter, purification drugs (chlorine/Iodine), SteriPEN (UV Water Purifier).
Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is a must for safety reasons. Although this is a lower elevated trek, of course there is some risk. You might need an emergency evacuation in areas where roads and hospitals are not accessible in that case, you need to have a travel insurance. We encourage to travel insurance in your own home country.

At Aspiration Adventure, We believe that the accommodation is one of the major factor that enhances your overall travel experience. We will accommodate you in standard, clean, comfortable lodge (teahouse) with great views of the mountain and sceneries. All the Accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. Breakfast and dinner will be served from teahouses/lodge menu where we spend the night whereas, lunch will be served on the way to the next destination.

How do you avoid altitude sickness during trek?
- Drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water daily to keep your body hydrated.
- Avoid alcohol, smoking and caffeine, this are the major causes of dehydration and headache.
- Walk slow and take time to acclimatize to the increase altitude.
- Eat Well and Plently
- Take Diamox Medicine as per the Doctor Instruction, an over-the-counter pill used to prevent and reduce the symptoms of altitude sickness.
Do we need to carry additional medicine for trekking?
Yes, Our guide will be carrying a first aid box along with some basic medicine like ibuprofen, codeine, paracetamol, lozenges, anti-diarrhea tablets and diamox for AMS. However, It is recommended to carry some medicine by yourself.
Does your guide and porter have Insurance ?
