Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek is one of the popular trekking in Everest region that takes you through the Namche Bazaar, Tengboche monastery and finally to the foot of towering Aba Dablam. The journey begins with your arrival in Kathmandu followed by Himalayan flight to Lukla. We follow the trail to the sherpa village of Namche and proceed further up to Pangboche. Leaving Phakding village, route consists of a number of high suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River that lead us to village of Monjo, entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. We will also spend a day in Namche Bazaar to acclimatize and appropriate adaptation with the environment at the height. Where you can choose to hike to Kunde Hospital set up by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1966 A.D in Kunde Village or highly recommended walk up to the world’s highest-situated airport, Syangboche Airport, and Everest View Hotel. As soon as you leave Namche, Ama Dablam is the mountain that you see all along the way. Exploring around the Tengboche you will continue walk Crossing a suspension bridge over the Imja Khola and passing the Mani stones ultimately leads to Pangboche. We will have Afternoon Acclimatization time at Pangboche and prepare for tomorrow’s walk to base of Ama Dablam, world’s most beautiful mountains.
Walk from Pangboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp offers divine beauty and exciting experience. If you are lucky enough, you might Himalayan Thar, Yaks, Wild eagle and many more animals. As you trek further, the trail divides into two from one leading to the Everest Base Camp Trek trail through Dingboche and other one to Ama Dablam itself which appears closer. Best Time to Trek
The best seasons for Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek are from Mid September to Mid November and from March to May. Generally, Nepal offers two best trekking season Spring and Autumn. During these time you will find moderate temperatures and provide better view of mountains, less heat haze cloud and clear views of mountains. In, summer coexist with the monsoon, making the trek trails wet and slippery, but the views of waterfalls are magnificent, though it is not suitable for everyone. In winter, the higher you go the colder it’s going to be. Above 4000 meters, you can expect snow and temperatures to descend rapidly below zero degrees. Be prepared for all weather conditions and have the right gear as there is always a risk of rain at lower elevations and Snow higher up during the trail.
Passport and Visa
If you are travelling to Nepal for (tour, sightseeing, travel, trekking, mountaineering, visiting friends and families) then you need to have a visa to enter Nepal. Arrival Visa is available at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu’s where you can simply get the “On Arrival Visa” with the application that require at least a passport of 6 months’ validity, and a passport size photo. You will be charged USD $ 30 for 15 days and USD $ 50 for 30 days as visa application fee which have to be paid in cash on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. For those tourists who have Indian and Chinese passports then you do not need a visa (Free Visa). Most visitors will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport. The Certain country (Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria) are requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their local Diplomatic missions (Embassies/Consulates) of Nepal Government.
Accommodation
Accommodate in mountain are simple in teahouse but it is standard, clean, comfortable lodge (teahouse) with great views of the mountain and sceneries. All the Accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. The rooms at mountain teahouses consist of nice and warm blankets, mattresses, pillows, bedsheets and attached bathrooms (not everywhere) and heated communal dining room. In Kathmandu, you will be accommodate at Standard 3 Star Hotel accommodation with breakfast inclusive.
Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is compulsory for AMA DABLAM BASE CAMP TREK. All the trekkers must provide the travel insurance policy certificate to Aspiration Adventure. This is high-altitude trek and quite challenging which means it comes with the risks of altitude sickness and and other unforeseen events. Travel Insurance policy must cover medical and emergency repatriation including helicopter rescue and evacuation expenses at high altitudes. In case of emergencies, we will be using the insurance policy and informational documents you sent us to operate the quick operation. Travel Insurance comes handy in these unexpected situations by covering all of the costs of treatments, medics, and helicopter rescue.

At Aspiration Adventure, We believe that the accommodation is one of the major factor that enhances your overall travel experience. We will accommodate you in the deluxe 3-Star Hotel in Kathmandu. During the trek, we will ensure and accommodate you to the best available standard, clean, comfortable lodge (teahouse) with great views of the mountain and sceneries. All the Accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. Breakfast and dinner will be served from teahouses/lodge menu where we spend the night whereas, lunch will be served on the way to the next destination.
