Best Time to Travel
Everest Base Camp Trek be done throughout the year, but the best time are Spring (March, April and May) and Autumn (September, October and November). During these time you will find moderate temperatures and provide better view of mountains, less heat haze cloud and clear views of mountains. From October to December you will see more green forests in the region. Although this trip can be experience during winter and monsoon seasons too, though it is not suitable for everyone. The higher you go the colder it’s going to be. Above 4000 meters, you can expect snow and temperatures to descend rapidly below zero degrees. Be prepared for all weather conditions and have the right gear as there is always a risk of rain at lower elevations and Snow higher up during the trail.
Passport and Visa
If you are travelling to Nepal for (tour, sightseeing, travel, trekking, mountaineering, visiting friends and families) then you need to have a visa to enter Nepal. Arrival Visa is available at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu’s where you can simply get the “On Arrival Visa” with the application that require at least a passport of 6 months’ validity, and a passport size photo. You will be charged USD $ 30 for 15 days and USD $ 50 for 30 days as visa application fee which have to be paid in cash on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. For those tourists who have Indian and Chinese passports then you do not need a visa (Free Visa). Most visitors will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport. The Certain country (Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria) are requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their local Diplomatic missions (Embassies/Consulates) of Nepal Government.
Transportation
In this trip, Aspiration Adventure provides all the necessary transporation on private car. Firstly we provide free arrival and departure service, Please let us know about your international flight for this complementary service. On Arrival Day, you will be warmly welcome by our representative by traditional flower and transfer to respective hotel. For the Lukla flight you will have the Private car for the airport to hotel pick and drop off. Our flights to and from Lukla are through regular airlines twin Otter and Dornier. We use standard Helicopter from Namche Bazaar to Everest Base Camp and Back to Lukla. Similarly, According to your interest we will also private vehicles for tour such as Sightseeing around Kathmandu, Nagarkot Dhulikhel, Chitwan, Pokhara or any tour in Nepal upon according to your request.
Meals During the Trip
During our 5 Days Everest trekking, you can enjoy typical Nepalese food as well as common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc) around the restaurants in Kathmandu and trekking lodge. Whereas, On the trail all hygienic meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included in the package cost. Breakfast and Dinner are served in the teahouse or lodge where you will be staying in, Lunch is provided on the way en route. You will have full options or freedom to select your preferred items from a menu provided by the teahouse or enjoy authentic Nepalese food. Food while on the trek is simple but tasty. And other common types of food you will get in most teahouse are Thukpa, noodles, fried rice, Dal Bhat, pizza, sandwich, spaghetti, etc. All Personal Bills (Alcoholic Drinks, Hot and Cold Drinks) in tea house or in the cafe are excluded from Package. Aspiration Adventure Ensure to provide best quality hygienic all meals during the trekking. There will also be a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances hosted by Aspiration Adventures upon your return from the successful trip.
Drinking Water
The water is available at every trekking lodge or grocery shops along the route, buying a bottle mineral water cost anywhere from USD 1 to 3 per litres. However, Aspiration Adventure recommend not buying bottled water due to environment concern and it also saves your money. Instead, you can refill the water from the freely available taps or water source and use water purification tools such as water filter, purification drugs (chlorine/Iodine), SteriPEN (UV Water Purifier). It is advice drinking 3 to 4 liters of water each day to stay well hydrated.
Accommodation
At Aspiration Adventure, We believe that the accommodation is one of the major factor that enhances your overall travel experience. Accommodate in mountain are simple in teahouse but it is standard, clean, comfortable lodge (teahouse) with great views of the mountain and sceneries. All the Accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. The rooms at mountain teahouses consist of nice and warm blankets, mattresses, pillows, bedsheets and attached bathrooms (not everywhere). In this 5 Days Everest Base Camp Trek Package we ensure to provide best available standard lodge that includes attached bathrooms and comfortable rooms. You will have option to choose the Hotel Everest View for one nights accommodation.
In these trek package Hotel in Kathmandu are not included. Kathmandu offers wide range of accommodation, you will have the option to make the package according to your need ranging from 3 Star Hotel to luxury starts accommodation. Does this package guarantee accommodation and meal?
Yes, This 5 Days Base Camp Trek Package guarantee lodge to lodge stay at a mountain where we use the best available standard lodge during trek. Meals in the trek is very convenient but not as in cities. We include full board meal (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) in the trekking. You will be eating as per menu that offers a verity of meals including local and western continentals.
Is there any communications service available while we are on trek?
There are telephones available in some village along the Everest trekking routes from where you can make both domestic and international calls. Our guides carry local sim cards and we will communicate to all our clients through our trekking guides to at least once in a day to make sure you’re fine, safe, and have right everything up there. If you are wiling to get local sim card, we recommend purchasing an Ncell and Nepal Telecom pre-paid SIM card in Kathmandu. Where can I leave stuff in Kathmandu when I am trekking?
It is recommended to carry the basic clothing and accessories needed for the trek. Anything you don not want to take on the trek, can be stored at your hotel or in our office in Kathmandu. We suggest you ensure your bag is lockable.
How long do I need to walk per day during my trek ?
Evidently, the trekking would be 4 to 6 Hours per day according to the destination and the situation.

Every trekkers who are willing to trek Everest Base Camp requires TIMS Permit, Sagarmatha National Park entry permit fee, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit. Are there Fixed Itineraries and Date for this trek?
Our trip can be customized according to your need and there is not any fixed departure date, itineraries. What about weight limits?
The weight limit for your luggage is 10-12 Kg per trekker. Two trekker will be assigned with one porter to carry your luggage, combined luggage should not exceed more than 23 kg. We never overload our porters. Please be noted that, your main luggage will be carried by porter and you can simply carry your own small backpack (with your valuables things) on your own. Your Backpack may include water bottle, camera, sun-screen, spare jacket, Document and etc. You can leave any excess baggage (anything that you do not need during trek) at your hotel’s locker room in Kathmandu for free of charge.
When is the best time of year?
The 5 Days Everest Base Camp trekking can be done throughout the year but, Best Season runs from September to December during the Autumn Season and March to May during the spring season. The most popular month are post monsoon late September, October, November. December when mountain air is clear and fresh, and Late February, March, April and Early June when the weather is dry and pleasant and the rhododendrons bloom. Although this trip can be experience during late December to February which is winter and monsoon seasons too, though it is not suitable for everyone.
Do we need to carry additional medicine for trekking?
Yes, Our guide will be carrying a first aid box along with some basic medicine like ibuprofen, codeine, paracetamol, lozenges, anti-diarrhea tablets and diamox for AMS. Howver, It is recommended to carry some medicine by yourself.
How do you avoid altitude sickness during trek?
- Drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water daily to keep your body hydrated.
- Avoid alcohol, smoking and caffeine, this are the major causes of dehydration and headache.
- Walk slow and take time to acclimatize to the increase altitude.
